Carmichael Roberts is cofounder and managing partner of venture firm Material Impact. He also co-leads the investment committee at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, a group creating and building companies that address the threat of climate change and long-term sustainability of the planet. Prior to his career as an investor, Roberts cofounded several ventures in which he served as CEO or chairman.
Roberts received his BS and PhD in organic chemistry from Duke University. He has an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
